Dr. Adam Hensley, MD & Kayla Hensley, RN

Role at Hartselle Internal Medicine: provide stable, consistent care to the community after a long, history of frequent changes and turnover with providers.

How we got here: When we found out the current clinic was closing, we wanted to continue to provide care to the community. Our preacher must have been reading our emails, because he started preaching on obedience to Jesus at your Monday - Friday job and it ultimately being God's Money. We are pretty sure he was preaching directly to us and we knew what we needed to do.

While nothing has worked out as planned and we have had lots of dumster fires to put out, we were blessed to be surrounded by talented people who knew we were following a calling, and helped us find a solution at every obsticle.

We are all truly bless to have the opportunity to continue to serve this community.

Dr. Hensley graduated from University of South Alabama and is certified by the Alabama Board of Internal Medicine.

He is married to the amazing Nurse Kayla, the true brains behind the operation. We say amazing because she puts up with him.

They met while working together in Birmingham. They have 5 children and 1 grandchild.

Biggest career accomplishment: being involved in the Hartselle Health Park Urgent Care, which has transitioned to an ER. This was a needed resource for the community.

Christy Myrick, CRNP

An acute care nurse practitioner who believes healthcare should feel personal. She is known for her direct communication and down-to-earth approach. Christy values real conversations, clear answers, and making sure patients always understand their care plan without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Her goal is simple: provide thoughtful care, communicate clearly, and treat people the way they deserve to be treated.

After moving to Hartselle in 2021, Christy quickly knew she had found home. Somewhere between hearing “hey y’all” everywhere she went and realizing a quick trip into town usually means running into familiar faces, she found a community she genuinely loves being part of. She especially values the opportunity to care for the same community she lives in and calls home.
